It was knowing where to start.

Every product here comes from a brand we'd stand behind, and most of them we've compared side by side against the alternatives. We look at materials first, then at whether the thing actually does what it claims, then at whether we'd buy it ourselves. If it's marked as a Drawer Pick, someone here would hand it to a friend. We carry a small selection on purpose. An endorsement everything gets isn't an endorsement.

Our product descriptions answer three questions, in order: what is it, what does it feel like, who is it for. No euphemism, no winking, no exclamation points. Your order arrives in a plain box with a plain label, and nothing on the outside says what's inside.
